From educating tomorrow’s best and brightest to creating and maintaining a cutting edge workforce today, Peoria’s education system emphasizes the development of a customized workforce capable of driving the competitive companies of today and tomorrow.

Bradley University 

As an independent, privately endowed, coeducational uiversity, Bradley has been ranked 6th among Midwestern comprehensive universities in the 2008 edition of "America's Best Colleges," published by U.S. News & World Report. In addition, Bradley's Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering and Technology was ranked number two in that special discipline.  

Bradley University has been ranked 24th on the list of "Top 25 Most Connected Campuses" and "Top 25 Most Entrepreneurial Campuses" in the nation by The Princeton Review and Forbes magazine. Bradley students and faculty continue to be awarded prestigious Fulbright Scholarships for study abroad.

Undergraduate Students
 
Bradley offers its undergraduate students more than 100 programs among five colleges: Foster College of Business Administration; Slane College of Communications and Fine Arts; College of Education and Health Sciences; College of Engineering and Technology; and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
 
Graduate Students

Approximately 800 graduate students with more than 30 graduate programs including an AACSB-accredited MBA program, an Executive MBA, and a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Illinois Central College

Illinois Central College, often referred to as ICC, serves more than 13,000 students annually and offers over 185 programs of study. These programs include transfer programs for the first two years of bachelor’s degree study; career programs leading to an associate in applied science degree with the ability to enter the workforce upon completion; and certificate programs, which allow students to enhance existing skills or develop basic skills for the workforce.
ICC is the home of the Professional Development Institute, FunShops -  which offers continuing education classes for professionals, recreational classes for the community, and the “College for Kids”, a summer program for students grades 4th through 12th. Every three weeks, an exhibit featuring new work by students and nationally known artist is highlighted at the Performing Arts Center galleries.
With its main campus in East Peoria, the Downtown campus and the North campus, ICC is a large community college, in addition to a branch of the University of Illinois at Springfield.
